CRS Music & New Season Begins!

Good evening, CRS Musicians! I am greatly looking forward to seeing everyone again for our upcoming holiday concert season! We have a special treat as we are performing in two different functions this season. One will be for our Oregon Coast Youth Symphony Festival performance on Friday, November 6th (@ Astoria HS), and the other will be our big community holiday concert scheduled for December 12th @ the Liberty Theatre in Astoria.

There will be audio links sent shortly so that you can listen to these selections as well. Also…there are a couple of selections that you will not see as they are back ordered and on their way.

Please make sure that you are spending some early, and solid practice time on the string festival pieces, as we will be working these selections right away to make sure that we have them ready to go for our November concert. “Origins” by Brian Balmages will be by far the most important for us to put together. Throughout the early and mid part of the season, I will be balancing back-and-forth between the string festival and holiday concert material, so please pay attention each week as to what we will be working on. Again…this week, will be heavy with the string festival selections.

As always, if you are going to miss a rehearsal, please let me know as soon as you are able…the earlier the better for planning purposes.
