Thank you, CRS Musicians & Supporters!

Congratulations to each & every one one of you on a concert evening full of fun, laughter, surprises, and sheer determination!  This ensemble never ceases to amaze me.  This organization’s purpose since the beginning states that “our mission is to increase the musical talents of our performers, to serve as a leadership role in the community, and to promote cultural enrichment for the artistic and musical benefit of everyone involved.”  

You could feel, hear, touch, and experience this overall purpose in the activities of the day. Whether you supported our organization’s mission to play during the parade or concert, or volunteered your time and talents in the lobby welcoming guests to the concert, or building and painting the Regatta parade float, to handing out flyers on a beautiful Saturday afternoon…every act does not go unnoticed, and helps to contribute to the purpose of this ensemble.  Your community recognizes this, your supporters recognize this, and we all have the joys of  experiencing this.  

Whether you are coming or going from this symphony, or staying for another year or ten, each and every one of you provide exactly what we need for this ensemble: commitment; compassion, creativity, resilience, leadership, friendships, and much more!  Cheers to bringing smiles, hope, love, excitement and a sheer will to shine in our performance this evening.  As I said earlier tonight, it’s not about being perfect, it’s about keeping the mission moving forward, and providing opportunity for all to learn, grow, and achieve that community harmony which keeps the vision alive.

Take some time to rest, and enjoy the rest of your evening and weekend.  I will be sending a notice out in about a week, providing the layout for our big holiday concert season to wrap up the 2025 calendar year.  Take care all!  You are an amazing group of individuals.
