Lights, Camera, Set Sail!

August 10, 2025

Get ready for an unforgettable night of music, magic, and movie soundtracks! As part of the Astoria Regatta Season, the Columbia River Symphony presents a blockbuster concert that’s perfect for families, music-lovers, and movie fans of all ages.

From Jurassic Park to Guardians of the Galaxy, Back to the Future to The Mandalorian, enjoy a cinematic journey through some of film’s most iconic scores. You’ll hear thrilling themes from Indiana Jones, How to Train Your Dragon, E.T., Jaws, and more — plus the dramatic William Tell Overture, bold Fanfare Forza, and the sweeping Victory at Sea, honoring the U.S. Navy in WWII.

This free concert celebrates community and creativity. The Columbia River  Symphony — a multigenerational ensemble — brings professional-level  music to the public at no cost. Your donations keep these performances and music education programs going strong throughout the Columbia-Pacific region.

A special "thank you" to the acclaimed saxophone quartet “Saxophones Well Done” for our pre-show music! Their dynamic sound sets the perfect tone  for an evening of awe-inspiring symphonic music.

Thank you to everyone who attended live at the Liberty Theatre and who listened to the concert livestream! Subscribe to our YouTube channel today to support more recording opportunities.
